I am from Ecuador, 19 years old (born on July 16, 1990), currently an undergraduate student in a college in my country and I work as Accountant Manager. My hobbies and likes are computers, playing games, sports (especially riding my bicycle), take my karate lessons (currently brown belt, 2nd Kyu), gals ;-), and crunching for BOINC :P
I've used Windows for most of my life. The first version of Windows that I used was Windows 95, when I was just a kid. And so I have used every single version of Windows to this date, except for Windows 7. However, I started to become interested in Linux some years ago, being Ubuntu Gutsy the first ever version of Linux that I have used. Since that day, the only reason I boot to Windows is to update my iPod or to play video games. In the end, the only and most important reason that has kept me in the Windows world are games, most of which are made for Windows and simply work very, very choppily in Linux. I run BOINC in my Linux partition only, since it is much more efficient than the former.
I run many BOINC projects, mostly the ones that really have an aim at helping humanity and/or science in a way or another. Keep up the good work BOINC and all projects associated with it!
Finally, I am a member and the leader of the team BOINC@Ecuador. I am hoping to unify our citizens and all people that love our country. |
